Athletic Director / Assistant Principal

Mrs. Rucka is excited to start her 9th year at West Allis Central! Mrs. Rucka has been in the WAWM District for 10 years, and was a special education teacher prior to becoming the Athletic Director. She is entering her third full year as Athletic Director, and her first year as an Assistant Principal.
Mrs. Rucka earned a Bachelor's degree in PK-12 Special Education from Eastern Illinois University. She is currently working to earn her Master's in Educational Leadership and her NIAAA Certified Athletic Administrator certification.
Throughout her nine years at Central, Mrs. Rucka has served in a variety of roles as a teacher. She also coached boys and girls swim for three years. Mrs. Rucka is looking forward to continuing her work at West Allis Central!
Athletic Administrative Assistant
Mrs. Scherer is excited to begin her 13th year with the West Allis-West Milwaukee School District! She earned her Bachelor's degree in Business Management & Leadership from Wisconsin Lutheran College. Over the past 12 years, Mrs. Scherer has proudly served in a variety of Administrative Assistant roles, including the past 3 years as the District Athletic Secretary, bringing dedication, organization, and a passion for supporting students, staff, and families. In this role, she supports the district’s athletic programs, working closely with coaches, students, and families to help ensure successful events and smooth day-to-day operations. Mrs. Scherer is passionate about fostering school spirit and providing behind-the-scenes support that helps student-athletes thrive.
Athletic Trainer

Tony Agostini, LAT, CSCS, CKTI, ACI, earned Bachelor of Science degrees in both Education and Athletic Training at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He has 37 years of experience as an educator and allied health care professional working with people of all ages and abilities. He is employed by Aurora Sports Health as a Senior Athletic Trainer and specializes in outpatient orthopedics. He has provided athletic training services for student athletes at several area high schools including; Oak Creek High School, Shorewood High School and West Allis Central High School. He also provides patient care for the general public at the Aurora Sports Health 84th street outpatient clinic in Greenfield, WI. Tony incorporates manual therapy including (massage techniques, joint mobilizations and traction), rehabilitation exercises, and modalities including The Kinesio Taping Method ® in his patient care treatments for neck, upper and lower extremities. As a Certified Kinesio Taping Instructor for Kinesio University, Tony has taught The Kinesio Taping Method to hundreds of allied health care professionals throughout the Midwest over the past eleven years. As a Certified Strength and conditioning Specialist, he provides valuable insight into the pathological causes of injuries and provides education on how to prevent injuries. Born and raised in the Milwaukee area, Tony is a sports enthusiast - and has competed at a high level as an athlete in a variety of different sports throughout his life.
