School Procedures
Central is committed to providing a safe and secure learning environment for all of our students, and to honor that commitment, the following before-school and after-school procedures are in place at Central High School:
BEFORE SCHOOL
The Fieldhouse doors on Lincoln Avenue (our main entrance) are open early (by 7:00a). Students arriving before 7:30a will be directed to the Cafeteria for breakfast, until released at 7:30a.
After 7:00a until 7:47a, the Auditorium Commons doors are open as well. All other doors are locked, including the Grant Street entrance. The main entrance doors are locked following the conclusion of the first hour.
After 7:47a Students MUST still enter through the Fieldhouse doors on Lincoln Avenue (the main entrance).
A table is set up at the entrance so that students can get a pass to enter class.

AFTER SCHOOL
The bell rings at 3:00p. Students have until 3:15p to exit the building unless they are involved in an after-school club, activity or sport. At 3:15p, students are directed away from the building doors and toward the street to clear the entrance so that staff can leave and students involved in after-school activities can enter.

Please make sure that your student(s) has transportation arranged after school, or that he or she is involved in an after-school club, activity or sport. Please also make sure that your student(s) is prepared for the weather conditions, including umbrellas, hats, hoods, coats, gloves, etc.
